Sophie-Lee is a dedicated osteopath, graduating from Southern Cross University in 2017 with a Bachelor's in Clinical Science and a Master's in Osteopathic Medicine, after starting her osteopathy studies in France, in 2011.

With a passion for health and a commitment to helping others, she brings a comprehensive approach to her practice. In addition to her expertise in osteopathy, Sophie-Lee has completed a course in Sleep Consultancy, demonstrating her commitment to promoting overall well-being.

  • Osteopathy 



Sophie-Lee uses a wide variety of techniques, including 

  1. Soft Tissue Manipulation: Gentle manipulation of muscles and connective tissues to reduce tension, improve flexibility, and enhance circulation.

  2. Joint Mobilization: Applying gentle movements to joints to improve range of motion and alleviate stiffness.

  3. Muscle Energy Techniques (METs): Engaging the patient's muscles in specific directions against resistance to improve muscle function and joint mobility.

  4. Spinal Manipulation: Also known as osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT), this involves applying controlled force to the spine to realign vertebrae and relieve pain or discomfort.

  5. Stretching Exercises: Prescribing specific stretches to improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and prevent injury.

  6. Cranial Osteopathy: A gentle technique that focuses on the skull and its subtle movements to promote relaxation, relieve headaches, and enhance overall well-being.

  7. Visceral Manipulation: Gentle manipulation of internal organs to improve their mobility and function, which may help alleviate digestive issues and other visceral complaints.

  8. Lymphatic Pump Techniques: Gentle rhythmic movements applied to the lymphatic system to promote drainage and improve immune function.

  9. Myofascial Release: Applying sustained pressure to release tension in the fascia (connective tissue) surrounding muscles and organs.

  10. Postural Assessment and Correction: Evaluating posture and providing guidance on ergonomic adjustments or exercises to improve posture and prevent musculoskeletal problems.

  11. Dry Needling: therapeutic technique used by healthcare professionals to treat musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. It involves inserting thin needles into specific points of the body, to stimulate the muscles, nerves, and connective tissues. 

In addition to osteopathy, we also offer sleep consultancy services to help newborns, toddlers and children achieve better quality sleep. Our sleep consultancy services include a thorough evaluation of their sleep habits, lifestyle factors, and medical history. We will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that meets your unique needs and helps your little ones achieve better quality sleep.
